Fall Fun

Well, today I had big plans to talk about this beautiful, vintage, sequined jacket that I picked up a few months back.  I pulled it out of my closet and proceeded outside for a photo op.  I was searching for the perfect place to display the jacket and thought I had found it.  I propped it up and started to step away to look at it when all of a sudden my dog runs up and pees on it.  Yes, you read that correctly, he peed on my beautiful, vintage, sequined jacket.  So, without going into too much detail about how my day has been going up until now, I will just go on to another topic.

FALL

Yes, Fall!  Now, generally Fall Fashions always come just a bit too early for my liking.  I know that this is just how the system works, new boots and coats start cropping up in early August and skirts and tanks are thrown at you in the beginning of  March (which, if you are hip to any fashion mags, this actually equates to July & February when they come in the mail.)  I am not averse to Spring wares being tossed at me towards the end of Winter when I've been living in Ugg boots for the last 2 months, my skin has turned a sickly yellow, and my winter wardrobe ideas are running thin.  I welcome them with open arms!  However, Fall I am never ready for when it comes out.  Excited, yes!  Ready, no.  Here's why:  Any NORMAL summer on the Central Coast it is between 95 and 105 degrees from the beginning of June through the end of August, and sometimes September.  Late September cools down to between 85 and 95 degrees and chilly nights.  And October is when it really starts to change.  See, we don't really have Spring and Fall down here.  It's mostly just Winter and Summer.  Around this time I am hoping that it will cool down enough just so I can breath when I go outside, but I'm still not thinking about throwing on my boots yet.  Now, this year is a little different.  I think I can count on one hand how many upwards of 100+ degree days we've had.  I am not complaining, but this is just weird!  I really don't want to complain because who really wants it to be over 100 degrees outside, but this just hasn't been summer.  We have barely been in the 90's!  80 degrees may seem like a nice hot day at the beaches, but it is really putting a damper on my summer mojo.  So, with that said, like normal, I am not ready for Fall, only this year it is for a different reason:  I feel like I never had a Summer, and I love Summer!  But, beyond my "not complaining" complaining, here are a few items that I would like to pick up when I am good and ready for Fall:
Over the Knee Boots, yes sir, yes ma'am! (Report Fairfax3 from Zappos.com)

Adorable skinny cargos! (Free People Skinny Military Pants at Piperlime.com)
Seriously, how cozy and cute is this? (Alice + Olivia Ombre Wool-Cashmere Draped Cardigan at Bloomingdales.com)
Ok kids, my internet is driving me nuts right now, so this is all I've got, more later when everything in the world is not bugging me!
