Someday, when my fashion career takes off and my salary skyrockets (when I wish upon a star...) I hope to be sporting all of the newest Brian Atwoods, Christian Louboutins, and Manolo Blahniks, but until that time I have to be savvy with my shoe buying. Especially because I have what my husband calls a "shoe problem..." Hence the new shoe cabinet he just built me to take care of the overflow from our closet, but we will discuss that later. This week I purchased 2 new pairs of shoes (wow, 2 pairs a week for a year = ???, not that my "shoe problem..." is quite that bad...). I like to get my shoes wherever I can find the cutest ones at the best prices. Now, I'm not gonna lie, I have splurged a time or two (BOOTS!), but generally I am pretty frugle with my shoe buying. One of my most favorite places to buy shoes is Ross. Yes Ross. Now, Ross and me, we have a special relationship; we used to have no relationship (remember, my patience...). But, we came to an understanding. I only visit 3 sections of Ross when I go in: Shoes (always), Scarfs (always)(I also have a bit of a "scarf problem..."), and jeans occasionally. I'm kind of a jeans snob, but we'll talk all about that later. So, the other day, I popped into Ross just for a looksey and I found a lovely scarf (on clearance!) that I just had to have and then proceeded to the shoe aisle to see what I could find. I tried on a couple of pairs, including one strappy pair from Nine West that I was drooling over last year, but nothing really "tickled my fancy." So, I was on my way out when I noticed the large rolling racks full of the new shoes going out onto the floor. I took a peek and found these delicious peep toe pumps:
When I showed these to my friend S.P., she said, "They're like one of those micro-suede couches, I just want to slide right into them and get comfortable!"
The second pair of shoes from my Ross week I picked up on a "Browse By." I was in Paso Robles for a quick trip and I thought I would stop in just to look around. I wasn't very hopeful since I was just in a couple of days before, but I perused the shoes just in case. As soon as I popped into the size 8's I spotted a beautiful pair of nude shoes. There was a girl standing next to me slowly browsing and I reached above her for a quick snatch-grab before her eyes could even begin to focus on these fine stilettos:
And just to wrap it all up with a happy ending, as I was standing in line to check out with the new (shoe) love of my life, the little girl in front of me asked, "Mommy, do you like those shoes?" Her mother replied, "I do. I'm sure she has a special occation to wear them to." The little girl looked up at me with her pretty little eyes and I replied, "Every girl need the perfect pair of nude pumps!"

I need some nude pumps. like now.
