Hiatus

So, clearly I've been on a little holiday from my writings. I was on vacation for a minute right after my last post, and then I returned and started a brand new job that has taken up most of my time.  I'm still trying to play catch up with everything, and I shall be back to where I left off here soon.  That being said, here we go!

Here I am at 2:41am, Thanksgiving (or, I suppose it is now officially Black Friday) trying my best to stay awake as I await the craziest shopping day of the year!  Normally, I would be sleeping, completely ignoring this glorious day of each year.  I have tried before to wake up at 4am after a delightful night of gluttony but to no avail.  So, this year, and I'm pretty sure my first official Black Friday out, ever, I am going to brave the unusually cold 21 degree weather and the madness of the largest crowds I think I may have ever seen, and go SHOPPING!  I can't say I'm not excited, because that would be silly.  I am excited, although I'm not a big fan of fighting my way through a large crowd of crazy, overly caffeinated people trying to find the best deals of the day.  But hey, I'm pretty easy going, so I think I'll give it a whirl.  I could use a little bit of excitement in my otherwise quiet life.  Sadly, today I am not out for the fashions, but rather a reasonably priced flat screen TV to replace the dinosaur in my bedroom.  I have no qualms about old TVs, just old TVs without remotes.  Just when I'm perfectly comfortable in my cozy bed, some silly TV show comes on that I can't stand and I have to rearrange everything (including my moody dogs) to change the channel.  So today I'm hoping for an upgrade.  We'll see what I can get my hands on.  Wish me luck!  And I'll be back soon :)
