Inspired by: Disney?

It's that time of the month again when all of my magazines flood the mailbox.  It's really a happy time for me; a nice change from bills, unauthorized credit card offers, and Charter driving me nut-balls with their bi-weekly offers for me to come back to cable television.  It's Spring fashion time which means 500 pages where I can live vicariously in the world of fashion.

Last night I was reading an article by Elle's Creative Director Joe Zee.  He was describing his experience of going to his first movie at 4 years old.  It was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and he goes on to describe how this movie was his uber-fantasy with all of the movie-perfect elements.  This month, a real life translation of S.W.A.T.S.D. called Mirror Mirror comes to theaters and Joe Zee translates Snow White's costumes first to "Catwalk" and then to "Casual Chic."  This got me thinking about how my first Disney movie theater experience may have affected my fashion sense.  My first Disney movie?  The Jungle Book.  Perhaps all of that fur, animal print and that little leather loin cloth inspired my love for these things.  Sure, I don't wear these things everyday, but do I love them?  Yes!  And so, my ode to the Jungle Book as a fashion inspiration!  And a "just for your information," I do own some of the things listed.
