Oy. My hair is greasy, I haven't gotten dressed for like 3 weeks, and I don't even remember what I look like with makeup on. We are still working on the getting settled part of our move. Everything is still pretty much in shambles, but hopefully that will change this weekend. Of course what has been mostly on my mind is decor. A new place equals (much needed) new stuff. What I want most: organization and a little zest. Hence the texture and patterns. That is where I will get the excitement from in my living room. It has to be slim on the little knick-knacks and doo-dads because, well, I'm not really big on dusting (or sweeping, or mopping, etc. etc.), so I have to keep the things that need to be moved around and dusted under to a minimum. Remember that couch I wanted? Won't this chair be the eggs to that bacon!? Room for more books? Oh, yea. Tiny ecosystem that sustains itself? Check. Loving it all, let's see how much of it actually materializes in my house.

Summer Fling
Moving day is finally here, which is my explanation as to why I have been MIA. So sorry kids; I do promise to get back on it just as soon as we are settled. Hopefully I will have for you some awesomely cute new home pics once we unload the trucks. Until then, I have for you another outfit post. This little number is brought to you by the letter D, for Debi, my MIL. Personally, I love rummaging through other peoples oldies. Fortunately for me, my MIL has kept nearly everything she's ever had (please don't tell her I've just implied she's a hoarder). I've seen her wedding dress, her cheer-leading outfit from the '70s, and various other little tidbits of awesomeness. But this dress, I fell in love with this dress. Being that my MIL is loathe to part with anything, I was surprised when she said I could take it home with me. And so here it is: circa 1979, this ditty was actually a bridesmaids dress for her best friends wedding, and now a lovely summer fling.

Tahoe Whoa.
This week I was whisked away to Tahoe for the hubs annual company trip. There was an obscene amount of drinking, gambling and sun. I have the bags under my eyes, the moths buzzing out of my wallet (do moths buzz?), and the totally serious tan lines/ burn lines on my back to prove it (that would be a mixture of sports bra and tank top. Not cool). So much for that 200 bucks we took out specifically for gambling. Too bad I didn't take away the hubs' ATM card. It's all good though. The "Olympics" this year paid off, and we came home with a seriously large new TV. Yay for the penchant for athleticism between the two of us. Pretty sure the majority of the company has put hits out on hubby and me, and that we may be disqualified for next year, but it was all totally worth it when we loaded said TV into the the Excursion.

Crazy. Stupid. Love.
My life right now: hectic. We are packing up all of our jazz, and moving on. Hopefully we will find a new place very soon, fingers crossed. Through all of this craziness, I don't think I have actually gotten dressed for the last week; aside from a tank, sports bra, and some shorts to pack and clean. All of this rounded out with a scraggly pony tail, and I'm not looking so hot these days. Don't cry for me Argentina, I'll be back in action soon. Until then, enjoy this little number with what may be my new favorite pair of shoes.

The Look: LAMB
Sometimes I lack a little creativity looking at the same articles of clothing in my closet day after day. Inspiration has to come from somewhere, and I do love me some runway shows. So here's my take on this little LAMB number from the SS 2012 Ready to Wear show. Boom.
Sweater: Pretty Good // Romper: Lucca Couture // Sandals: Mossimo //
